Ingredients
2 cups all purpose flour
1/2 teaspoon salt
1/2 teaspoon baking soda
3/4 cup margarine (melted)
1 cup brown sugar
1/2 cup white sugar
1 tablespoon vanilla extract
1 egg + 1 egg yolk
2 cups semisweet chocolate chips
Direction
1. Preheat oven to 325 degrees F.
2. Grease baking tray/s with butter.
3. Sift flour, baking soda and salt
together then set aside until needed.
4. In a separate bowl, cream the butter,
brown sugar and white sugar. Once the texture is creamy, mix in the vanilla and
eggs until smooth.
5. Mix into the above mixture the
sifted ingredients until a thick creamy dough forms.
6. Stir in the chocolate chips by
hand using a spoon.
7. Form about ¼ cup sized dough
balls on spoon and place of the greased sheets. Ensure the cookies are at least
2-3 inches apart so that they do not stick together.
8. Bake for 15 minutes in the preheated oven.
9. Allow the cookies to cool
slightly on the baking tray (about 5 minutes), then use a food lifter to carefully
remove them to the cooling racks.
Here's how mine looks!
